My Timber Pets Beginner Guide — How to Play, Earn & Upgrade

My Timber Pets is an idle wood tycoon: your pets chop trees for you and print cash while you are away. This guide walks through the confirmed core loop and what each upgrade does.

The core loop

  1. Spin the Worker Roulette — free and unlimited. Every spin gives you a pet (a worker).
  2. Place the pet on a wood spot — it starts chopping a tree automatically.
  3. Collect wood — storage is small at first (5 planks); collect before it fills.
  4. Sell wood at the Sell Shed — wood turns into cash.
  5. Spend cash on upgrades — pets, trees, storage, slots and new areas.
  6. Upgrade your forest — a cutscene plays and you unlock bigger trees plus a 2x cash boost.
  7. Build new floors — unlock more space for pets and trees.

Quick tips from the community

  • Check mutations and rarity, not levels — players warn that “Equip Best” is unreliable; check what actually earns more.
  • Upgrade storage early — the 5-plank cap stops your income when you are AFK.
  • Offline earnings are much lower than online — do not rely on AFK alone for progression.
  • Collect cash before storage fills — full storage pauses income.

What is not yet confirmed

  • Exact rarity odds and per-pet money values (not published by the developer)
  • The Reset mechanic’s exact rules (players mention resetting to re-roll first pulls)
  • Offline earnings percentage
